Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to be a key engine of our growth. This is not a traditional sales role. Your primary mission is to identify new opportunities and build a robust sales pipeline by strategically engaging potential customers through modern digital channels and high-impact physical events. You are a natural networker, a digital prospector, and the first, crucial touchpoint for our future customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Prospecting & Lead Generation:

    • Proactively identify and research target accounts and key personas within our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry databases, and market intelligence platforms.

    • Develop and execute targeted, multi-touch outreach campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and other digital channels to validate the potential through calling in order to generate initial interest and secure discovery meetings.

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to leverage content (webinars, whitepapers, case studies) in your outreach to nurture and educate potential leads.

  • Event-Driven Business Development:

    • Represent the company at key industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events across Europe.

    • Strategically plan event participation: identify key attendees, pre-schedule meetings, and manage on-site engagement to maximize lead capture.

    • Ensure timely and effective follow-up on all event-generated leads to convert them into qualified opportunities for the sales team.

  • Opportunity Qualification & Pipeline Growth:

    • Conduct initial discovery calls with inbound and outbound leads to understand their business challenges, pain points, and current systems

    • Qualify leads against our established criteria to ensure they are a good fit for our TMS solution.

    • Nurture early-stage leads and build relationships until they are ready to be handed over to an Account Executive.

    • Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for new meetings booked and qualified opportunities created.

  • Collaboration & Market Intelligence:

    • Work closely with the marketing team to provide feedback on campaign effectiveness and help shape future content.

    • Collaborate with the Account Executive team to ensure a seamless and effective handover of qualified leads.

    • Act as a source of market intelligence, gathering insights on competitor activity, customer needs, and industry trends from your interactions.

    • Meticulously track all activities, leads, and opportunities in our CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a Business Development, SDR, or inside sales role, preferably within a B2B SaaS company. Experience in the logistics, supply chain, or TMS industry is a significant advantage.

  • Digital Savvy: Proven expertise in using digital tools for prospecting, including LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM systems (HubSpot), and sales engagement platforms.

  • Exceptional Communicator: You are a clear, concise, and persuasive communicator, both written and verbal. You are confident in initiating conversations with senior decision-makers.

  • Natural Networker: You are energized by meeting new people and building professional relationships, both online and in person at events.

  • Results-Driven: You are motivated by targets and have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline generation goals.

  • Proactive & Independent: You are a self-starter who can manage your own time and activities effectively to achieve objectives.

  • Language: Fluent in English and Dutch.  German, Italian or Spanish is a strong asset.
